About us – Homes for Life
OX Place doesn’t just build houses. We build homes for life. Homes that you and your family can feel proud of. Homes in Oxford available to buy through shared ownership, outright or to rent through Oxford City Council.

Oxford needs homes and Oxford City Council is committed to building them.
OX Place is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford City Council, established in 2016, as a housing company to create high-quality, genuinely affordable homes in the City. OX Place aims to build more than 2,000 new homes for rent and sale in and around Oxford over the coming decade and we are building sustainable homes, responsible for 30% of a city’s carbon emissions.
We’re building sustainable homes.
In 2016, Oxford City Council established OX Place as its own housing company to create high-quality, genuinely affordable homes in the City.
Sustainable homes are also cheaper to run. They stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They harness renewable energy technology and they’re built using high quality materials.
MD Recruitment OX Place and future delivery options for affordable housing supply
Oxford councils are developing a proposed consultancy brief to consider future options for (the direct delivery of) affordable housing supply and possible structures to deliver this through OX Place or revised version of it.
