About Barcud
At Barcud Housing Association, we don’t just build homes – we help shape future. As a dynamic, forward-thinking, tenant focused organisation serving communities across mid and west Wales, we are on a mission to create lasting, positive change in the places we call home. Formed through the 2020 merger of Mid-Wales Housing Association and Tai Ceredigion, Barcud is now a leading force in affordable housing, with over 4,000 properties, an annual turnover exceeding £28 million, and a passionate team of over 300 people.
But we’re more than just numbers – we’re a community of individuals, driven by a shared commitment to make a real difference. We strive to provide first class employment opportunities across a range of services and every penny we earn is reinvested into providing first-class homes, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the lives of the people who live and work here.
Tenants are at the heart of every decision we make and we have a strong and successful history of Tenant participation and involvement. Our Strategic Objectives align with this as we strive to provide affordable, energy-efficient homes for mid and west-Wales residents. Supporting tenants during the current challenging financial climate is a priority, and we are committed to working with tenant groups to focus on Barcud’s aims. The Association strives to achieve the highest possible regulatory standards to support our vision.
Our region has one of the largest populations of Welsh Speakers in Wales. The Welsh language is very important to us. We pride ourselves on providing opportunities to learn and encouraging our colleagues to confidently use their language of choice in all aspects of our daily working life.
With three successful subsidiaries and a growing presence in mid and west Wales and beyond, Barcud offers a dynamic environment where vision, leadership, and innovation come together to shape the future of housing. As a Group – Housing Association and 3 subsidiary companies – we are a team of over 300 people.

We’re looking for four exceptional individuals to help us continue our mission, drive new initiatives, and lead by example in this rapidly evolving sector. If you’re ready to make an impact, grow alongside a forward-thinking organisation, and help shape and contribute to the future of housing in Wales and beyond – we want to hear from you. This is your chance to be part of our exciting future.
