<\/span><\/strong>The role is unremunerated; however, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, including travel, accommodation and dependent care costs where required. Board members will also have access to a range of personal and professional development opportunities.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tThe appointment:<\/strong>
The term of office would usually be two three-year terms, up to a maximum of six years.<\/p>\nBoard members will also be asked to join a Committee. This will be discussed with you to take account of your interests, skills and capacity.<\/p>\n
In addition, we are open to further discussion if you are interested in joining a committee on the JRF Board.<\/p>\n
We are politically independent and our continued success as a major influencer depends on our board members and trustees being able to demonstrate impartiality. Typically each year there are four meetings of the JRHT Board.<\/p>\nThere is also a joint strategy day with JRF and

Overall, we estimate that the time commitment for the JRHT Board role is around 10-12 days per year.
Meetings are generally held in office hours, with mid-morning or lunchtime starts.<\/p>\n
